TWO mid-table sides shared the spoils at a chilly Belle View, and a draw was a fair result.
Carlton started brightly, with Lamin Manneh twice going close, while Nat Watson hit a post with a clever lob in the 13th minute. But Consett took the lead in the 29th minute when Calvin Smith whipped in a free-kick for Charlie Exley to power home a header.
The advantage lasted eight minutes as Dean Freeman dummied a corner to set up Khyle Sargent, who made it 1-1.
