■ AVRO missed the chance to record a first ever win against City of Liverpool after being held by the struggling Purps.
Jake Cottrell’s penalty ensured the visitors deservedly led at the break, but Musa Jobe and Xenon Bahula turned the game on its head with close-range finishes early in the second half as City of Liverpool came out flying.
Cottrell’s second successful spot-kick of the afternoon restored parity with more than half-an-hour still to play, but neither side could find a winner despite numerous close calls for both sides.
