BATTLING Basford United boosted their survival prospects by snatching a point at Stockton Town thanks to Joe Uveges’ late strike.
Uveges struck moments before stoppage time with what was virtually Basford’s first attempt on goal of the game.
Kev Hayes had given the Anchors the lead on 18 minutes when he was awarded and scored a penalty.
Stockton kept struggling Basford at arm’s length throughout the game but were unable to consolidate their advantage.
