ALEX HURST was the hat-trick hero for Leek Town as they continued their climb away from the lower reaches of the league after coming from behind to beat play-off chasing Ashton United 3-1in front of a bumper Non-League Day crowd of 802.
The visitors started strongly and took the lead after 10 minutes when Darius Osei was left unmarked to head home Alex Byrne’s cross. They controlled large parts of the half with Leek keeper Dino Visser saving Luke Burke’s low shot.
