■ VAUXHALL Motors and Atherton Collieries played out a goalless stalemate at the VanEupen Arena on Friday night, leaving the Motormen in danger of dropping out of the top three.
In the first half, Colls found out why Alex Swindell has been earning rave reviews for Motors in recent weeks, producing a fingertip save to divert a wind-blown free-kick from Aaron Dwyer around the post.
He then produced a better stop to deny Ethan Kershaw.
Colls had the best chance after the break, through Adams, but it was blocked.
