■A STALEMATE played out in sunny weather saw play-off chasers Newton Aycliffe and North Ferriby unable to find a breakthrough.
Liam Adamson had a chance within the first twenty minutes but his lob was too high. That was arguably the first half ’s biggest opportunity.
