Top five is sealed as Lions roar on

A GOAL in each half saw Guiseley inflict a ninth straight defeat on bottom club Blyth Spartans as the Lions moved up to third with two games to play.
Joe Akroyd’s 34th-minute strike was all that separated the sides at the halfway stage, Will Longbottom’s 72nd-minute penalty confirming the points would be heading to Yorkshire.
The opening half was scrappy with little goalmouth action as the beleaguered Spartans held their own against the promotion chasing visitors.
