SEASIDERES HOLD OFF A STRONG FC FIGHTBACK

WHITBY Town picked up three vital points in their battle against the drop despite a late fightback from FC United.
Two goals from Aaron Haswell, sandwiching a fine Matty Tymon strike, put the Seasiders in control before FC United scored twice in the space of a minute towards the end to set up a tense finale.
United started brightly and could have been two goals up inside the first 11 minutes, Adam Le Fondre seeing a shot just past the far post and the brining out the best in keeper Shane Bland.
