■STAFFORD RANGERS and Bootle both fired a blank in Staffordshire as they played out a closely contested draw.
Despite the lack of goals, it wasn’t for the lack of trying as both sides went close.
Ben O’Hanlon forced a fantastic save out of Bootle captain Tony Thompson after Jim O’Neill picked him out from a throw-in.
While at the other end, Jack Lenehan saw his header go wide of the target.
