■ CONGLETON Town’s tough start to the season continued as Avro became the latest team to take the points off Richard Duffy’s men at the Cleric Stadium.
The visitors took an early lead when Kyle Hawley curled the ball into the top corner of Dave Parton’s goal after a lovely ball from Fortune Maphosa released Avro’s goal machine.
Congleton pressed for an equaliser with their best chance falling to captain Darren Chadwick, who put his header just over the bar just after the interval.
