FC United were clinical in the first half and besieged by Lancaster in the second before celebrating an eighth home league win of the campaign.
It means Mark Beesley’s men will sit third in the table at Christmas as they attempt to plot a course back to National League North.
“There have been times when we’ve had to grind out a result but we’re in a good position,” said the Reds’ boss.
“There’s loads still to work on, but if you’d offered us 39 points after 20 games then we’d have been made up.”
