CARL HEGGS has quit as manager of Hinckley United.
Heggs, who took over as Knitters boss in June last year, has decided to stand down to focus on the university course in teaching training that he starts in September.

A statement on the club’s website thanked him for his services, saying: “The board would like to thank Carl for guiding the Knitters through last season at a time when the first team could have easily folded.”
Hinckley have offered the vacant managerial role to Stuart Storer, who has been the club’s first team coach over the past couple of campaigns.
