Light shining

FORMER Millwall manager Dave Tuttle has become Burnham’s third boss of the campaign, replacing Paul Mulvaney.

Tuttle had a brief spell in charge of the Lions in 2005-06 and has since managed in Non-League at Bracknell Town, Henley Town, Hartley Wintney and Newbury.

Mulvaney took over after Mark Tallentire’s decision to quit in September after budget cuts but he has now stepped back and will remain at the club as a coach.

Tuttle will be aiming to push Burnham up the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West, with the Blues currently 18th and just a point clear of the bottom two.

Chairman Gary Reeves said: “I speak on behalf of the board when I say that Dave’s appointment as first team manager is not only a positive stride forward for the club, but also a very exciting one.

“Dave comes from a solid football background, a large part of which has been spent both playing and managing in both professional and Non-League football

“He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will only benefit Burnham Football Club and Dave is relishing the challenge ahead.

“We at Burnham are very excited by this appointment and Dave fully understands what we are trying to achieve and where we want to go and to try and drive us back up the South & West division after what has been a disappointing campaign so far.”
