HARLOW Town withstood a second-half fightback from Hertford Town to secure a win on their return to the Southern League.
The hosts got their campaign off to a flying start with only eight minutes played when Demaray Anyadike breezed past two defenders on the right, before crossing for striker Alex Read to tap home.
The lead was doubled just ten minutes later when left-back Layne Eadie delivered a cross that was only partially cleared to Craig Alcock, who half volleyed into the roof of the net.
