Frome Town made a winning start to thanks to a hardfought victory over Highworth Town at Badgers Hill.

A well-taken goal from Jon Davies early in the second half decided the encounter after visiting goalkeeper Tom Clapp had already denied the Robins on several occasions.
Clapp had already kept out a Davies free-kick in the first half, as well as pulling off a brilliant stop to deny George Rigg, but there was little he could do to prevent the winner as Davies struck from the edge of the box.
