AFTER ten days off thanks to the FA Cup, Kempston Rovers returned to league action as they hosted Wantage Town in the first of their Bank Holiday home fixtures.
And they showed no sign of rustiness as they saw off Wantage Town.
Rovers opened the scoring in the 21st minute, central midfielder Dan Naylor putting the hosts ahead.
After chances for both teams, Kempston had a penalty saved to stop them extending their lead.
