THIS was a typical end-ofseason affair with Sholing already securing seventh place and Barnstaple Town relegated.
On a sunny but very windy day the game was settled as early as the sixth minute with striker Dan Mason chasing down the ball before cutting inside and drilling the ball past Lloyd Irish in the Barnstaple goal.
However the striker’s season was effectively over 16 minutes later when he sustained an injury.
