THURROCK got the three points which took them into the top half after a hard fought win although they probably should have beaten bottom-of-the-table and pointless Worthing by a bigger margin.
The host’s dominance started in the first minute when Charlie Stimson won the ball and it fell to Joe Christou who smashed in from 25 yards to mark his 100th appearance for the club with a goal.
Rebels keeper Lucas Colovan then made a great save from Stimson.
But Christou doubled the lead after 20 minutes with another long range effort which Covolan got a hand to.
