WINGATE & FINCHLEY provided the perfect response to their midweek disappointment against Leiston.
They scored with Sean Cronin’s first-half penalty and Rob Laney’s second-half header but could have had many more.
Cronin blocked Alexander Reid’s strike from distance as the visitors started well. At the other end, Luke Ifil sent Reece Beckles-Richards through, but he fired over.
Ifil then shimmied through Harlow’s backline but his low strike past keeper David Hughes cannoned off the post.
