SONNY French’s second-half strike kept Aylesbury United’s promotion bid on course as they prevailed 2-1 over a gritty Biggleswade.
Max Hercules put the hosts in front at The Meadow after only 11 minutes when he latched neatly onto Anthony Ball’s luring cross, but Dan Newton headed Biggleswade level before the break.
The Ducks sealed all three points in the second half with French slotting through Tyler Josephs’ legs to maintain his side’s play-off place.
