■ AFC Sudbury began their league campaign with a hard-fought win over a good Coggeshall side.
Town started brightly, with Matt Price hitting the bar with an early free-kick, but it was the home side who took the lead after eight minutes when Ellis Girling broke and crossed for Kane Munday to fire home from 12 yards
Joe Whight cracked a shot against the crossbar for Sudbury, but there were no further goals until two minutes after half-time when Joe Grimwood rose to power a Isaac Skubich corner.
