STEPHEN THOMPSON’S first-half strike was the difference as Stockton Town maintained their perfect league start with a win over Cleethorpes Town.
The hosts broke the deadlock after 14 minutes. Cameron Painter’s lofted through ball was brought down and handed off by Tyrone O’Neill to Thompson, who found the bottom corner.
