DEFENSIVE errors cost Grays Athletic dear against high-flying Heybridge Swifts, although for an hour the game was an even contest.
The visitors took the lead in just the fourth minute when a long ball found Jake Adlington-Pile.
Grays looked for a flag that never came and the striker’s shot was deflected past Danny Sambridge.
The equaliser came just before half-time from the penalty spot; Kian Connolly converting after Alejandro Machado had been fouled.
