IN a match with few chances, the Bee’s managed to secure all three points.
Basildon United started brightly, with Darren Esuka creating two good opportunities, the best of which was brilliantly saved by Gorleston keeper Jake Jessup.
The visitors’ only chance came from a free-kick, but Christy Finch blasted it high over the bar.
In the second half, Basildon looked more creative, though Karl Kayembe squandered two chances.
