■ CARLTON finally resumed their league campaign with a hard fought but thoroughly professional win against Pontefract.
The Millers had the better of the first half and Lamin Manneh was denied in the first minute by Heath Richardson in the Colls goal.
Charlie Carter was also unlucky after a good team move saw his strike hit the bar. Within two minutes of the restart Carlton hit the front, Alex Howes the provider for Liam Moran.
