TWO first-half goals from the league leaders gave the Larks too much to do on a bitterly cold day.
King Baidoo put the visitors one up with a free header very early on.
Yate then doubled their lead when Ross Stearn converted a soft penalty.
For the home side, a stinging strike from Evra Yao which was tipped over by goalkeeper Joseph Thomas was the closest they got to scoring.
A couple of second half substitutions gave the Larks more options up front.
For a spell Yate had to defend in numbers as Yao, Jake Hicks, and Raph...
