The Red Kites started the brighter and took the lead within ten minutes through an Ethan Lack cross-shot. The Blues came back strongly with Brian Garzon and Ade Gbolahan both having efforts well-saved by Matt Crowther.
Riley Carr then levelled matters shortly before half time after being played in by Marcus Painter.
