■ BERKHAMSTED looked every inch worthy promotion candidates in a first half which they dominated.
They had skilful players who were quick on the ball.
By comparison, Ware’s performance could best be categorised as “honest endeavours” as they were gradually pinned back in their own half. Yet Berkhamsted only had the one goal by the break, John Lacey converting a penalty. The second half was quite different and Ware had by far the better of things.
