■ HEATON Stannington boosted their survival hopes and dented Dunston’s playoff aspirations with a late clinching goal.
Stan took the game to Dunston with Leighton Hopper forcing two first-half saves from Dan Lowson and having another shot blocked by team-mate Jay Errington.
In the second half, Dunston looked more dangerous and JJ O’Donnell had a pair of shots saved by Lewis Brass.
