■ THE first half kicked off as an effort from Joey Butlin sailed over the bar. Not long after, Jack Langston was brought down by Kieran Harrison, leading to a penalty and a red card for the Kidsgrove keeper. Langston coolly converted the kick past the stand-in keeper, Tom Pope.
The blue boys then doubled their advantage with an unfortunate own goal from Harry Goode.
