REAL Bedford maintained their grasp on the top spot with a fine three-goal victory over second-bottom Kidlington in Oxfordshire.
The visitors kicked off their trilogy of goals in the 16th minute as Brett Longden floated over a perfectly weighted ball for Ben Stevens to fire sharply in off a post.
Goal number two arrived in first-half stoppage time courtesy of Joey Evans. Isaac Galliford lofted in a precise corner, and it was right on the money for Evans to head home powerfully and send the travelling Pirates into the half-time...
