■ BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent’s promotion chances received a huge boost after a well-deserved victory over the team that started the day as their closest rivals.
The home side had the first real chance when Louie Johnson dragged a shot narrowly wide. After that Brightlingsea started to exert a greater control on the game and they took the lead through a Michael Okafor header after 40 minutes.
