■ SHANE TEMPLE came back to haunt Maldon & Tiptree as he bagged an equaliser for Grays Athletic.
The home side started well and took the lead in the seventh minute. Kien Connelly drove forward and cut inside and fired a shot into the near post.
Grays steadied and worked their way back into the game. Sam Bantick went down in the box, but the referee waved the appeals away.
Amine Sassi hit the inside of the post with a great header as the first half ended with the Jammers ahead.
