■ REAL Bedford sustained their push for the league title with victory away at play-off chasing Hadley courtesy of two Joseph Evans’s goals.
The Pirates had much the better of the first half and were rewarded in the 17th minute when Evans finished a flowing move with his chest to put them ahead.
Hadley came back into the game in the second half and should have equalised, from a corner. They were denied as Isaac Stones hit the bar from five yards, and again Matthew Gbio’s follow-up effort was well saved.
