■GORLESTON stretched their unbeaten run to seven while Basildon suffered their seventh loss on the bounce.
The visitors began well but didn’t test the Gorleston goalkeeper and it was the Greens who broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when Harley Black’s corner was met by a powerful header from the unmarked Adam Tann.
Basildon’s first shot on target came ten minutes into the second half but, apart from a bobble, it produced a routine save from Gorleston keeper Antoni Bort.
