■THE points were shared in an exciting encounter between Phoenix Sports and Ashford United.
Phoenix almost went ahead early on when Ahkeem Belford’s effort rebounded off the crossbar and onto the goal line before being cleared.
The first goal of the game came in the 27th minute: a stunning volley from debutant Phoenix striker Jerson Dos Santos.
Ashford took until the hour mark to claim their first goal, a cross from the  left finding it’s way to Kane Penn, who fired home.
