■ GRAYS Athletic gained an impressive sixth league win in a row with a comfortable victory over play-off chasing Witham Town. The first half produced little of note apart from a long punt with the wind behind from visitors’ keeper Harry Fairs that opposite number Danny Sambridge tipped over.
After the break, Grays came out with much greater purpose and quickly took the lead through an Alex Moss header from a Louie Remi free kick. And soon after, Remi himself made it two, with a looping header over Fairs.
