■ WELWYN ended their three-game losing run by extending Aylesbury’s to seven games with this comfortable victory.
WGC took complete control after a scrappy opening 25 minutes, once new skipper Layne Eadie put them ahead with a tidy finish into the far corner, converting Matty Whichelow’s fine pass.
Seven minutes from the break, the home Citizens doubled their lead with an accurate finish from Lewis Jones into the top of the net, after good work from Eddie Corbit and Lewis Taaffe.
