DESPITE playing 80 minutes with ten men, Newcastle Town took an important point off league leaders Widnes.
Newcastle Town were reduced to ten men when Dan Apantaku was shown a straight red for bringing down Jack McGowan.
Joe Slinn saved Sean Miller’s penalty, his fourth penalty save of an incredible week – and this after he became a dad on Thursday night – although McGowan reacted quickest to the rebound to bury it.
