YATE Town now lead the division by three points after they beat Helston Athletic at Kellaway Park.
Despite kicking into the into a game-ruining gale, Yate were closest to scoring in the first half.
King Baidoo and Nic McCootie both went close, and an offside flag denied Ross Stearn.
Helston, having failed to score with the advantage of the wind, were found wanting as they attempted to defend into it.
In the 53rd minute, a good save from Andrew Sowden Bird gave the Bluebirds a corner, from which Stearn headed home.
