MOUSEHOLE battled to a victory over Yate, as they moved four points clear of sixth-placed Bemerton Heath.
Starting as they meant to go on, Tim Nixon opened the scoring for the hosts as early as the eighth minute when he was perfectly placed to take advantage of a fumbled effort for a routine finish.
That said, Lucas Tomlinson soon spoiled any celebrations when he equalised just before the break.
He audaciously chipped his effort up and over the onrushing Ollie Chenoweth in the 41st minute.
