■ HELSTON Athletic’s hopes of avoiding relegation received a boost as they defeated Tavistock.
Andrew Sowden-Bird produced a superb double save early on, keeping out an effort from Ethan Wright and Jack Crago. The Blues took the lead after half an hour, Jacob Smith meeting a flicked-on corner to knock the ball past Aaron Dearing.
Six minutes later, the lead was doubled via Liam Eddy.
Five minutes after half-time, the Lambs were reduced to ten when Luke Mortimore saw red. But they did reduce the arrears, Liam Prynn pouncing on defensive mix...
