■ WYTHENSHAWE Town were relegated from the Northern Premier League West after a defeat at Newcastle Town.
Newcastle, already safe, took an early lead when Olly Armstrong pulled the ball back for Jake Avery to slam home. With Kidsgrove leading at Bootle, Wythenshawe’s hopes faded fast.
They missed a golden chance to level just after the break when Luke Nock blazed over from two yards.
