BOOTLE and Kidsgrove Athletic played out a thrilling draw, with the visitors securing their Northern Premier League West survival.
Bootle started fast, taking a 16th-minute lead when Ben Hodkinson finished into the far corner. Jack Lenehan forced a good save from the Kidsgrove keeper, while Courtney Duffus spurned two chances to extend the lead.
Kidsgrove equalised after the stroke of half time as Jimmy Garlick headed home, despite Bootle’s dominance.
