■ BARTON returned to league action, aiming to maintain their promising form after an FA Cup first qualifying round exit to Billericay Town.
It didn’t take long for Rovers forward Rawn Seale to open the scoring. A good spell of play from the hosts led to a first-time finish from Seale, who calmly slotted the ball into the net with composure and precision to give Rovers the perfect start.
