■A SPIRITED second-half fight back by Tavistock fell just short as Exmouth held on to secure the three points in a hotly-contested affair.
Exmouth started strongly with Mike Landricombe heading against the bar.
They went ahead when Ben Steer was bundled over and Ben Griffith dispatched the resulting penalty.
Steer doubled the lead after Luke Steer won the ball with a strong challenge, and he finished to put his side further ahead.
