■ TWO first-half goals from AFC Whyteleafe and a Hastings United red card saw proceedings go only one way as the game added up to a home success.
Hastings United started this one on the front foot with two early efforts going just over the bar.
However, it was the home side that made the breakthrough in somewhat fortunate fashion, as the away side failed to clear a ball bouncing round the box before Daniel Bennett pounced to stab the ball home.
The score was doubled by Helge Orome from the penalty spot after a deliberate handball.
