■ NEWLY promoted Blyth Town upset the odds to beat in-form Garforth at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
The Miners came into the game on the back of a three-game winning streak, while Blyth started the day at the foot of the NPL East.
Euan Potts scored just five minutes in, giving the visitors something to cling on to, which they did superbly. Garforth had a big penalty claim waved away and missed a number of chances, but Blyth had big chances to wrap things up too.
