HERTFORD kept their push for the play-offs on track with a fine win at home against struggling Rayners Lane.
The visitors had their chances in an end-to-end first half but the hosts were more clinical and raced into a 3-0 lead at the break.
Skipper Billy Mardell-Smith opened the scoring after six minutes with a flicked header, and later turned provider to set up Lawrence Ajong.
The big striker then added his second a few minutes later with a close-range header.
