■ HORLEY Town overcame Hastings United in a fivegoal thriller at The New Defence. Deondre Date got the home side off the mark 11 minutes into the clash, when he scored from a close-range effort, courtesy of a recycled corner.
The away side found an equaliser in the form of Freddie Legg’s volley from inside the box, following a long throw.
Horley responded with a quickfire double to re-take the lead, with Date adding another to his tally, while Abdulahi Abdulazeez added a third on the stroke of half-time for rampant Town.
